Every back road has a story. This one starts near 3 Mile Road, where the headlights fade, the tree line closes in, and the rumor of Hog Woman refuses to die.
The Story
The road remembers what people try to forget.
Hog Woman is the kind of legend that never arrives the same way twice. Some people say she was first seen in the distance, standing where the shoulder of the road gives way to the dark. Others say the story began long before 2022, passed from one late-night warning to another until nobody could tell which part was memory and which part was fear.
By the time the story reached 3 Mile Road, it had already changed shape. A figure in the dark. A sound from the woods. A face no one wanted to describe for too long. The details were different, but the ending was always the same: once you heard about Hog Woman, the road never felt empty again.
The Beginning follows the rumor back to where it started — or at least to the last place anyone was willing to look.
